Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Hope your Halloween is going great & you're getting lots of candy! I dressed up and brought my pumpkin to work today. I have an appointment later on do to a walk though of a house, I wonder what the lady will think when I walk in...
This is a costume from 3 years ago. I didn't have a plan when I started out. I was always in love with orange and black 1920's ready made costumes like these:
It's cute and it's cheery and I've never seen another like it!
Close up of the painted kitty. It's hard to see, but every dot, stripe and edge of this costume is covered in sequins and beads.

  1. What a seriously cute costume!! I love how much it looks like the old 20's costumes you mentioned, I've never seen someone "nowadays" wear one. Great job!! And if the lady at the walkthrough doesn't love that dress, that's HER headache, haha!

    1. Thanks! The lady did love my dress, and remembered me as Mary of Queen of Scots from last year!

  3. OMG, Mme. Polaire - is there anything you can't sew well?

The picture of you from the Sylvia turned out awesome - you should go check it out. There was one other of you standing by the curb waiting for the cab, but I thought you might think there was too much something-or-other showing. You had a word for it - can't quite remember... ;o)

    1. What I don't like sewing are things with deadlines...
Thanks for the awesome pic! Perhaps you could e-mail me the more *revealing* pic?

  5. This is the sort of Halloween outfit dreams are made of! I love the mixture of pattens and, of course, the cats and spiders. Also, your pumpkin has the best face!

Hope you had a great Halloween!

  6. Your dress is so cute and do indeed reminds of the 20's costumes. That old picture is very inspiring . Halloween costumes can be more than dressing up as a monster or a witch. Happy halloween.
